We made it to May! As the days drag on and we are surrounded by uncertainty, there is no better time for a little self-care and nourishing creativity. So let's get right to it.
Today, let's take a moment to breathe deeply, remember what we are grateful for, and do a little creative appreciation for ourselves and those around us.
Grab your journal, or paper, and a pen. Center yourself with a few deep breaths, then write 5-10 appreciations or gratitudes at the top of your page. They can be big (I am grateful for a roof over my head) or small (I am grateful for the way this mug feels in my hand).
Read your gratitudes over when you are done, and choose one. Close your eyes and really think about it. How does it make you feel? What does it smell like? Taste like? Feel like? Sound like? Now open your eyes and write "I am grateful for (your gratitude) because..." and write without stopping for 4 minutes. Don't let your pen leave the paper. Keep writing no matter what. If you get stuck, repeat the prompt and start again. The important thing is to keep writing.
