Daily Creative May 8, 2020: Through the Lens
Welcome! So glad you are here, deepening your creative practice. Keep going!

Today you are going to create two self-portraits. Grab your picture-taking device of choice and meet me back here.
Portrait 1: Create a photo of how you see yourself - with you in the photo. If you like to take selfies, try to think beyond your typical pose. Your face might not even be in the picture. How can you photograph the true essence of you?
Portrait 2: Now take a self-portrait without any of your body in the picture. You can use objects, angles, lighting, distance, colors or whatever feels right for you. Perhaps you create a sculpture of objects that are important to you. Or maybe there is a corner of your home that resonates.
If you have a few extra minutes, spend some time looking at your two photos. What do you notice? How do you feel when you look at them? How are they alike? Different? What surprises you? Added bonus activity! Write about what you see for 5 minutes.
Have a creative, wonderful weekend and I will see you here next week.
