Saturday Senses: Daily Creative, May 16, 2020

I have decided to create a Daily Creative schedule to help the Daily Creative's followers find activities that excite them. Each day of the week will have a different focus. I am starting off today with Saturday Senses. Each Saturday I will post a new activity centered on at least one of our five senses. Let me know what you think about this new format in the comments below. The Daily Creative is for you, and your ideas will help make it as helpful as possible.

Today, grab a pen or pencil and a piece of paper, and go to your refrigerator and take out two things: one sweet thing and one sour item. Choose one to start and breathe in deeply the scent if offers. Close your eyes and notice how it makes you feel, notice if any memories or images arise. Then write for 2 minutes about your experience. If you are not sure how to start, you can try "Sweet feels..." or "Sour is...". Switch items after 2 minutes.

The rest of the day, notice any scents around you. Take a moment to experience the scent by closing your eyes and once again noticing what comes up for you. You might even try to do this every day for a week.

See you tomorrow for a the first Sunday series. Enjoy your Saturday and stay safe and healthy!
